Examples of Applicable Law in a sentence
It is the intent hereof that Borrowers not pay or contract to pay, and that holder of this Note not receive or contract to receive, directly or indirectly in any manner whatsoever, interest in excess of that which may be paid by Borrowers under Applicable Law.
Subject to Applicable Law, any additional items and supplementary material may be taken up for consideration at a Board meeting with the permission of the chairman and with the consent of a majority of the Directors present in the meeting, which, if applicable, must include at least one independent director or the decisions at such meeting must be ratified by such independent director.
If Applicable Law clearly exempts a purchase hereunder from a Tax, and if such Applicable Law also provides an exemption procedure, such as an exemption certificate requirement, then, if the Purchasing Party complies with such procedure, the Providing Party shall not collect such Tax during the effective period of such exemption.
In no contingency or event whatsoever shall the amount paid or agreed to be paid to the holder of this Note for the use, forbearance or detention of money advanced hereunder exceed the highest lawful rate permitted under Applicable Law.
